Improved i-AVR technology
The intelligent automatic voltage regulator (i-AVR) is a microprocessor controller powered by the PMG generator rather than by a sensing winding, as in traditional AVR systems. It can communicate with a computer over a UART-RS232 interface, so generator data such as voltage, current and battery voltage can be viewed on the computer.

- Over-excitation limiting (OEL).
- Protection against genset overvoltage, AVR overvoltage, low frequency, overcurrent and overload.

- Protection against output overvoltage, high or low frequency and i-AVR overheating.
- Voltage and frequency regulation; all parameters can be adjusted digitally.
